On Wednesday April 6, 2016, Veronica Renta Irwin, Esq. was recognized for her distinguished volunteer service at the second annual Access to Justice Pro Bono Recognition Reception. Ms. Irwin was one of the Top Three Honorees in the Small Law Firms/Solo category. This honor is to recognize the attorneys like her who generously donate time and expertise to help low-income and vulnerable persons, who otherwise could not afford an attorney. It is a way to help people gain access to the civil justice system, which Ms. Irwin is very passionate about.
As stated in their program, The Nassau County Bar Association Access to Justice Committee, The Safe Center LI and Nassau/Suffolk Law Services, in conjunction with other legal providers, work together to coordinate legal services for the community, strengthen the core of volunteer attorneys through education and professional development, and provide information on free and reduced fee legal resources. The reception takes the time to dedicate all the volunteers who make their goals and vision a reality.
Ms. Irwin was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for 2015 Access to Justice Pro Bono Probider from the Nassau County Bar Association.
